Hello! I am a queer, nonbinary storyteller who uses whimsy and humor to inspire and connect with readers on their own journeys towards becoming their most authentic selves. (I use they/them pronouns). Though I have lived in New Jersey my whole life, my childhood was spent with my nose stuck in a book and a wild imagination that transformed my backyard into faraway places. Then I went to the Fashion Institute of Technology for my B.F.A. in Illustration with a minor in English so I could bring my stories to life. Now I put those worlds on paper using digital media to create books for other children to stick their noses into.

I find my inspiration in memories of my childhood, the outdoors, anything colorful (particularly the color yellow), and visits with my many cute niblings. When not creating stories and art for children, I like to dye my hair every color of the rainbow, make stickers, and teach myself how to roller skate.

My debut picture book as author and illustrator, titled Blob, published on September 14th, 2021 with HarperCollins. My second picture book, What If You Wish? will publish in Winter 2024 with HarperCollins.
I have been a member of SCBWI (Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators) since 2012, and I am also a member of the 12x12 challenge, a challenge to write 12 picture books in 12 months. I currently volunteer as the Illustrator Coordinator for the NJ chapter of SCBWI. In addition, I am an adjunct professor at Montclair State University where I teach digital painting.
